# Sign up and set up your workspace

> Create your Hearsay account with Google or an email address, then set up the workspace your surveys live in.

You need an account and a workspace. The account is you; the workspace holds your surveys, responses and brands, and the plan you pay for covers everyone in it.

## Create your account

1. Go to [hearsay.co.in](https://hearsay.co.in/login) and choose **Continue with Google**, or sign up with an email address.
2. For email, choose **New to Hearsay? Create an account**, then enter **Your name**, **Email** and **Password** (at least 8 characters) and choose **Create account**.
3. We send a verification email. You can start straight away, but you need a verified address to accept an invite to someone else's workspace.

Forgot your password? Choose **Forgot password** on the sign-in page and we'll email you a reset link.

## Set up your workspace

The first time you sign in, Hearsay asks you to **Set up your workspace**.

![The Set up your workspace screen: who Hearsay is for, the business name, what you do, and prices in](https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/hearsay-53fed.firebasestorage.app/o/docs%2Fshots%2Fwelcome-workspace%2F6356dcfd63dbe695.webp?alt=media "Set up your workspace")

1. Under **Who is Hearsay for?**, pick **My business or team** (a shop, café, studio or company) or **Just me**.
2. Enter the **Business name** (or **Workspace name** for Just me). Your team sees it, and it's how you tell workspaces apart in the switcher.
3. Optionally pick **What do you do?**: Online store, Food and delivery, Studio or coach, SaaS, Agency or Other. We use it to suggest templates and examples.
4. Check **Prices in**: INR, USD, GBP or EUR, picked from your location. You can change it before you pay.
5. Choose **Create workspace**.

If you picked **My business or team**, Hearsay then offers to **Invite your team**. You can do it now, or choose **Skip for now** and invite people later from [Workspace and team](https://docs.hearsay.co.in/workspace/team-members).

## Your free trial

If you came from a paid plan button on our pricing page, your new workspace starts a **14-day free trial** of that plan, with no card needed. Everyone gets one trial. See [The 14-day free trial](https://docs.hearsay.co.in/billing/free-trial).

## Invited by someone?

If a teammate invited you, open the link in their email and sign in with the address it was sent to. You join their workspace and their plan covers you, so you're never charged. See [Invite your team](https://docs.hearsay.co.in/workspace/team-members#accept-an-invite).
