# Cross-tabs

> Break one question's answers down by another, or by channel, device, ending or NPS band, in a single table.

A cross-tab shows how answers to one question split across another. For example: does satisfaction differ by channel, or by how people heard about you?

Cross-tabs are on Pro and above.

## Make a cross-tab

1. Open **Analytics**, pick the survey and choose the **Questions** tab. The cross-tab card is at the top.
2. Pick the **Rows** and the **Columns**. Either can be a question, an NPS or CSAT band, **Channel**, **Device**, **Ending**, **Embed** or a link field (personal fields excluded).
3. Switch between **Counts**, **Row %** and **Column %**.

The table follows any filter or segment you've applied. Choose **Download CSV** to open it in a spreadsheet.

**Example:** rows = NPS band, columns = Channel, with **Column %**. Each column then shows the share of promoters, passives and detractors among customers from that channel.
