# Ask Shopify customers after they buy

> Add your survey to Shopify's order confirmation email and order status page, with the order number attached to each response.

Hearsay gives you two snippets to paste into Shopify, so every order gets a link to your survey with its order number attached.

This is on the Business plan and above, and owners and admins set it up.

## Set it up

1. Publish the survey you want to send.
2. Open **Integrations** in the sidebar and find **Shopify post-purchase survey**.
3. Pick the survey. Hearsay adds a `shopify` channel to it, so these responses are counted separately.
4. Copy the first snippet into **Settings → Notifications → Order confirmation** in Shopify.
5. Copy the second snippet into **Settings → Checkout → Additional scripts** for the order status page.

Each link includes the order number (`ref={{ order.id }}`), so you can match a response to its order. You'll see it as **Reference** in each response and in exports.
