Coupon limits, bot checks and running out

How many coupons each plan includes, what customers see when codes run out, and how bot checks keep codes away from bots.

Monthly coupons

Each plan includes a number of coupons a month across all your surveys:

Plan Coupons per month
Free 100
Pro 1,000
Business 5,000
Enterprise Unlimited

Allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). When they run out, customers can still answer, but they don't get a code: they see Rewards for this survey are paused right now. Coupons start again on the 1st.

Coupon packs

On paid plans you can Buy a pack of 1,000 extra coupons from Plan and billing (₹299, $9, £7 or €8). Pack coupons are used after your monthly allowance and kept until used. See Upgrade, switch or move to Free.

When a coupon set runs out

When every code in a set is claimed (or a shared code reaches its Total allocations), the set shows Exhausted and customers see All rewards for this survey have been claimed. Thanks for taking part. Their answers are still recorded.

To keep rewarding people, create a new coupon set. An exhausted set can't be resumed.

Bot checks

Coupons attract bots. Require a bot check (on by default) runs an invisible check when someone submits a survey with rewards. People who pass get their code. Anything that fails still has its answers recorded, but gets no code; it sees We couldn't verify this device, so no reward was issued.

Turn it off only if you're happy for anyone, bots included, to collect codes.

Hearsay also flags responses that look automated, such as ones completed in under 3 seconds. Flagged responses are kept, marked Flagged, and you can leave them out of results with the Flagged responses filter.

One coupon per response

Each response gets at most one code, and each browser can answer once unless you've allowed more than one response per device.
